Pre-school Theater & Puppetry – for potty trained 3 and 4 year olds.
Come play, sing, act, dance, and sign your way through stories. In this special theater camp, your little one will get to create their own puppet and learn how to use them. We’ll become everything from savannah animals to fairies and gnomes in the woods. This camp will follow your child’s skills and imagination as we co-create performance together.
Please note: This camp is only for fully potty trained 3 and 4 year olds.
Please send your child to camp each day with healthy snacks that are low in sugar, and not terribly time consuming to clean up. It would also be nice to have a spare set of clothes should your child need them. If camp will run into your little one’s nap time, please discuss this with me in advance. We can make arrangements for early pick up as needed.
Bio:
Lori Tierney has been working in education for 10 years, and in theater for 33. She has worked with preschool students, college students, and every age in-between. Lori is an Executive Function coach, an Independent Educational Consultant, and a math tutor. She is also a mom of 2 little ones, herself.
Co-Teacher
Rita Dolphin, puppeteer/theatre
Rita hold a bachelors of Music/musical theatre from the University of Miami, Frost School of Music. She went on to have a 20 year career, which included extensive training in productions at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta. There she studied all types of puppetry with international directors and creators. Puppetry credits include Broadway in the Tony Award winning for best new musical, Avenue Q. Following, She performed Dory in Finding Nemo, the musical (written by the same composers as Frozen) at Walt Disney World.
Now She homeschools her two children, and enjoys playing and creating with the next generation of storytellers.
