Fairytale Ballet Camp is a week of ballet stories, art, crafts and lots of dancing to explore the magic of ballet! We will learn the tales from classical ballet in a playful and age appropriate way! This will include the wonderful stories of: Sleeping Beauty, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Cinderella, the Nutcracker, The Firebird and Swan Lake. The week will end in a student show to share with families.
Camp is designed for children ages 5-7 (with some flexibility).
*A healthy snack will be provided mid morning for children but parents are also welcome to pack a snack as well. A water bottle and smock or big t-shirt for art time is recommended.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Lauren is a dance and movement instructor on mission to create, nurturing, magical, inspiring and accessible classes for children and grownups! With over 20 years of experience teaching ballet and dance to young children, Lauren loves to foster imagination and teach skills in a playful fashion. She spent much of her childhood and adulthood training and performing in Classical Ballet and received her BFA in Dance from UC Irvine. She is also a Pilates and Barre Certified teacher. Lauren lives in Grass Valley, CA where you can often find her (aside from happily dancing around her living room) playing under the pines with her three sons, Dylan, Hayden, and Ollie, darling husband Luke and their sweet dog Dash.
