Week 1: Paint Lab (morning)

Experimental Acrylic Abstract Painting Lab for Creative Young Artists!
Students will dive into the world of acrylics, exploring painting on cradled panels, canvas, and paper. They’ll experiment with a variety of techniques, make fun discoveries, and build a strong foundation that all artists use in their creative expression. Beginners are welcome, and more advanced students will have the chance to take their skills to the next level! 🎨✨
NOTE: Can be purchased as a full day camp with Drawing Workshop for $425* There will be a 30 minute supervised lunch break.

Students will build hand-eye coordination, boost productivity, and gain confidence—all while tackling the age-old question: “What do I draw?” Expect lots of creativity, laughter, and “aha!” moments as ideas start flowing and pencils start flying! 🎨✏️

Summer Arts Sampler with Nancy Schaefer

Summer Art Sampler – In this buffet-style art camp, there’s a little something for everyone! Each day, we’ll jump into a new project in drawing, watercolors, acrylic paints, paint pens, and sculpture. Campers will learn new skills through guided projects and enjoy the freedom to explore their own creative ideas too. Sketchbooks and all supplies are provided—just bring your imagination and get ready for a colorful, creativity-packed summer! 🖌️🌈

Drawing and Painting with Acrylics and Paint Pens on Thrift Store Paintings – In this popular camp, kids bring their imaginations to life by painting right onto kitschy, thrift store paintings! Campers will design, draw, and paint their choice of cartoon characters, animals, manga, aliens, dinosaurs, and more directly into the scenes of recycled artwork. Along the way, they’ll learn image transfer techniques, work out ideas in their sketchbooks, and complete 2–3 different paintings over the course of the week. All supplies are provided—including a fun variety of thrift store paintings—so kids can jump right in and start creating! 🖌️🦖✨

This low-pressure camp is perfect for kids who enjoy art and music. Campers will explore pencils, paint markers, acrylic paint, stencils, collage, and more while working in their very own art journals. Along the way, they’ll experiment, express themselves, and build creative confidence. For the grand finale, they’ll bring everything they’ve learned together to design and create their very own album cover! Everything is included—including journals and album covers—just bring your imagination and get ready to make something awesome. 🎧🖌️✨
Week 5, July 13 – 17

Discover the Masters—And Your Own Style!
In this camp, students will dive into a bit of art history while personalizing or building on the inspiration of past great masters. Working in acrylics on canvas, they’ll learn the basics of painting—brushwork, color mixing and harmonies, and how to model form using values. Most importantly, students will start discovering their own artistic voice! Beginners are welcome, and more advanced students can take their skills to the next level. 🎨✨

An art camp for slightly older campers who are ready to jump into the fun and challenge of drawing people! 🎨 We’ll experiment with exciting drawing techniques, bring characters to life, and explore movement in 2-D art. Campers will draw from life with a costumed model and tackle tricky subjects like facial expressions and hands—making them fun and totally doable.
