Children learn and develop through play. Inspired by children’s picture books, your child’s imagination and

confidence will grow as we make-believe through movement, music and more! Final day includes a Showcase.

Students have the choice to participate in (or watch) some of our fun discoveries.

• 2:45-3:45 / 9 participants

• Child must be 4 yrs. by Aug. 17, 2024.

• Clothing must be easy to move in.

• Closed-toe rubber soled shoes; No flip-flops or heavy boots.

• Family & Friends Sharing Showcase / Nov. 12 / 4-4:30 / Studio 2

• Complete required paperwork by Sept. 10, 2024 to secure enrollment.

• Full or partial scholarships may be available.

Creative Dramatics ~ 6-7 yrs. ~ Tuesdays ~ 3:30-4:30 ~ Studio 2

Children’s books inspire our dramatic adventures! Your child will have fun exploring movement and character,

playing theatre games and acting out scenes. Final day includes a Showcase, highlighting some of our explorations.

About the Instructor

Paulette Gilbert has worked with children for nearly 30 years as a teacher, actor and director. She holds a BA in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Theatre from Louisiana Tech University. Her extensive experience with professional companies across the country includes a national tour with the Missoula Children’s Theatre. For the past 18 years she has taught and produced theatre for young people in Nevada County. Her directing credits include seven Children’s Theatre Ensemble productions for Center Stage Dance Studio, performed at the North Star House. She currently directs for The Main Stage Playmakers. Past productions include The Princess and the Pea, The Velveteen Rabbit, Silver’s Secret: A Pirate Adventure, The Reluctant Dragon, ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas, and The Emperor’s New Clothes. Paulette is also a professional costume designer and proprietor of SANDbags.
