Registration is open for Winter ’21 Youth Classes & Workshop for Adults

We have expanded beyond Summer Camps to offer classes for youth in the Fall, Winter and Spring. Arts education isn’t just for the young! The Center for the Arts now offers a wide variety of arts education for adults 17+ including one-time workshops, week-long intensive classes, series and weekly programs. Locations range from in-house to virtual depending on the program.

Learn Playwriting with Patricia Cotter

The Center for the Arts is offering a new virtual class for adults 17 and up. Playwriting 101: Writing The Short Play teaches the specific art of writing a satisfying ten-minute play with the end goal of having students complete a rough first-draft by focusing on the fundamentals of playwriting (character, structure, dialogue, action, and conflict). The four-week Zoom class starts Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 4:00pm and is taught by critically acclaimed and award-winning playwright, Patricia Cotter.

The Center for the Arts is kicking off a new, interactive series to bring the community together online. In Conversation With invites you to explore creative topics with local experts in Food, Nature, Art and Lifestyle. Each episode includes an interactive Q&A online via Zoom. Streaming Sundays at 4:00 p.m. Pacific time.
