Take a “walk” through The Granucci Gallery with artist, Marie Wolfe.
“About a year ago, I picked up the book Ninth Street Women, on the abstract expressionist movement and the five most influential women of that movement and I was glued and stuck to it… and that’s how I started.”
Marie Wolfe is living out loud through layers seen and unseen. Through weight, depth and texture, Wolfe works to discover the mystery and realm where abstraction and realism meet. She finds inspiraton in fragments of nature, urban decay, emotions and spirituality, as well as through memory and images of things remembered.
Gallery Curator Brynn Farwell, was struck by her innate ability to capture form using a simple palette and collection of line and texture.
After you watch the tour, take the opportunity to engage with the Marie in an Artist Q&A on February 3 at 4pm online via Zoom.
