Local performing arts venues issue joint statement regarding COVID-related protocol After careful consideration, Grass Valley’s The Center for the Arts along with Miners Foundry Cultural Center and other organizations are releasing a joint statement (below) expanding protocols in dealing with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. These organizations include: The Center for the Arts Community Asian Theatre of the Sierra: CATS InConcert Sierra Miners Foundry Cultural Center Music in the Mountains Nevada City Film Festival With audience and staff safety in mind the above listed venues have made the decision to require that patrons and artists alike either show proof of an FDA or WHO-approved vaccination or a negative COVID test taken within 48 hours of in-house events. The Center is excited to welcome you back inside for a great season of concerts! Members of The Center get premier access to tickets before they go on sale to the public on June 1. Encore Club Members get first dibs on tickets beginning May 18. Tickets are on sale for the rest of members beginning May 25.
The Center for the Arts in Grass Valley will launch its Spring Membership Drive May 18 and in the process celebrate the 20th anniversary of the arts venue which last year completed an extensive renovation, including state of the art sound and an adjustable seating plan. Joining The Center as a member – or upgrading for current members – will also make donors eligible to win a number of different prizes through weekly drawings, and all donors will be entered into the pool for the grand prize which will consist of four tickets to all four shows in The Center’s 2021 Summer Concert Series and WorldFest Day. The Center for the Arts is proud to be celebrating its 20th anniversary and is looking forward to the next 20 years of serving the community. Their venue has been meticulously redesigned not only for the patrons but for artists as well.
