Elevation brings the funk into your home with a live broadcast From The Center

The Center for the Arts presents Elevation live From The Center. The virtual concert broadcasts live on Friday, April 23, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. pacific time.

Elevation featuring J. Silk is a high energy funk/rock band from Northern California. Their original music was born in the clubs and bars of Grass Valley, Nevada City, and Auburn. They are a jam band and a dance band with an emphasis on heavy bass lines and funky grooves. The smooth vocals of front man J. Silk, and singer Brynn Farwell, give Elevation a fresh sound that’s both old school and modern. They released their first album “ELEVATION featuring J. Silk” in October, 2018.  The tracks were recorded live in the studio to keep that ‘live’ feel and unique sound. The band’s motto is “ELEVATE YOUR FUNKIN’ LIFE!” Currently the band is taking time to work on their second album which will be released sometime in 2021.

This will be their first show since their Valentines Day Show at the Odd Fellows Hall in 2020.  Since the pandemic, the band has been hunkered down writing new material and recording their second album. Elevation is excited to present both new originals and older favorites for this broadcast. The thing they have missed the most is the energy and funky good feeling of performing for a live audience. At this time, only cardboard cutouts and the camera crew are allowed in the theater, but you can tune in from home and show your support through the online chat and digital tip jar.

Watch Elevation perform live From The Center on Friday, April 23, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. pacific time. Tickets to the live streaming show are $10. Members of The Center for the Arts attend for free.
