Children learn and develop through play. Inspired by children’s picture books, your child’s imagination and confidence
will grow as we make-believe through movement, music and more! Final day includes a Showcase. Students have the
choice to participate in (or watch) some of our fun discoveries.

• Child must be 4 yrs. by Dec. 21, 2024.
• Clothing must be easy to move in.
• Closed-toe rubber soled shoes; No flip-flops or heavy boots.

Children’s books inspire our dramatic adventures! Your child will have fun exploring movement and character, playing
theatre games and acting out scenes. Final day includes a Showcase, highlighting our explorations.

Paulette Gilbert has worked with children for nearly 30 years as a teacher, actor and director. She holds a BA in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Theatre from Louisiana Tech University. Her extensive experience with professional companies across the country includes a national tour with the Missoula Children’s Theatre. For the past 18 years she has taught and produced theatre for young people in Nevada County. Her directing credits include seven Children’s Theatre Ensemble productions for Center Stage Dance Studio, performed at the North Star House. She is a director for The Main Stage Playmakers. Past productions include A Fairy Tale Christmas Carol, The Princess and the Pea, The Velveteen Rabbit, Silver’s Secret: A Pirate Adventure, The Reluctant Dragon, ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas, and The Emperor’s New Clothes.
