Fly, climb, and swing in Aerial Circus! AirAligned will teach you tricks and skills on Aerial ropes, Spanish Web, Dance Straps, Aerial silks, and Aerial hoops as well as ground acrobatic and performance skills. 

AirAligned started in 2002 with support from The Center for the Arts. AirAligned has a solid reputation in the industry and through that is able to provide many opportunities for professional performers, workshop goers as well as dance organizations. All of our instructors and presenters are professional aerialists and dancers trained in multiple disciplines and injury prevention.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS

Joseph Simms
Joseph Simms joined The Movement Alliance in 2002 where he met Tresa
Honaker who was part of the original directors and founders of TMA. Joseph has been a principal performer/soloist with AirAligned since 2004. Joseph has a background in the Martial Arts of Tae Kwon Do Jujitsu and most recently Aikido. Master classes include: Velocity in Seattle Washington, Conduit Dance Company in Portland Oregon, The Edge in Los Angeles, aerial intensives with Ingrid Hoffman L.A. and Isadora Duncan Dance Company. Joseph is currently working as a bodyworker, aerial and Pilates instructor and is the owner of Pilates Body in Nevada City. Joseph is AirAligned’s Co-Director and heads up the AirAligned Classes in Grass Valley.
 

Cassandra Raiche
Cassandra Raiche “Cat” began her aerial journey in 2017 with Air Aligned and
quickly fell in love with the aerial arts. Cat has a strong background in the martial art of Kung Fu San So where she first discovered her passion for teaching. In 2019 Cat moved to Florida where she became the lead aerial instructor for Vertical pole studio. She taught both Silks and Lyra while continuing to train and advance her own aerial skills. While in Florida Cat had the opportunity to choreograph, create costumes, and perform both solo and group pieces for various events. Cat currently resides in North Carolina where she continues to pursue her aerial passion for learning and performance. Cat and her son are frequent visitors to her hometown of Grass Valley where she attends and teaches as many Aerial classes as she can.
