Special Message from the Executive Director

After 18 months, the end is finally in sight for The Center for the Arts restoration. The Center is truly coming together and honestly, every time I walk into the main theater, it takes my breath away. This space will be like no other in our community and all of us at The Center are eager to share it with you. In the past two months we have put up sheetrock, solved a 10 year water intrusion issue in our west wall, laid a gorgeous new hardwood dance floor, and this week, our beautiful new seats will be installed.

The Center wants to thank all of you for your patience. While we expected to be open in December, numerous delays have extended the project. In order to continue offering quality entertainment without access to our main venue, we have been forced to move numerous shows. Many of you have purchased tickets for shows planned for the new facility and then those shows had to be moved to other venues. We at The Center acknowledge and share your frustration caused by these changes and we will do our very best to accommodate you. We also acknowledge that in spite of the inconveniences, you have stuck with us and continue to be loyal friends of The Center. Thank you. We want to let you know just how much it means to us that you have supported The Center by being members, coming to the shows, and contributing to our capital campaign. We are grateful for your patience and for your continued loyalty.

Our new schedule projects that the building will be opening at the very beginning of March. We will be keeping you informed of our progress as we get closer to the finish line. Believe me, we are all working tirelessly to open The Center for the Arts AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

We are almost there!

Thank you,

-Amber Jo Manuel, Executive Director
