Come PLAY with us! Bring your curiosity or passion for theater and performing.
Students explore the principals of good acting and character development through theater games, skill-development exercises, mini-plays, improv, skits, poetry, and song. A part of each class day is spent learning music, lyrics, and choreography toward the goal of performing a show of their own creation for friends and family on the last day of class. No formal singing or dance training is required—everyone participates! By mid week a story starts to emerge around the songs, skits, scenes, and characters we have been developing and practicing. Suddenly by Thursday we are running the show to get ready for our Friday performance. Everyone is onstage for the entire show and has the opportunity to create, develop and sustain a believable character that is part of the story. Developed for students ages 8–14*, sessions are taught at the The Plaza. Register Online Today!
*Younger children 6-8 with dance or theatre training will be considered for acceptance by the instructor into all sessions if there is space.
