Teen Writing Matters camp highlights the value of self-expression through writing.

Local poet Kirsten Casey gives students plenty of space to discover and explore their unique voice in this creative writing class created especially for teens. The skills, tricks, and art of the trade are where the meat of this camp lies. Anyone – be them poet, novelist, screenwriter, or just lover of the written word – will find that their perception of the craft will shift and grow in unexpected and delightful ways. Instructor Kirsten Casey gives every student a chance to look inside themselves as writers, find their place (or places), and utilize the knowledge she provides to put a spin on their own unique styles. Developed for students ages 13-17,  taught at the The Plaza in Grass Valley.

Former student Sol Rio sums it up perfectly: “Kirsten gives every student a chance to look inside themselves as writers, find their place (or places), and utilize the knowledge she provides to put a spin on their own unique styles. Plus, it never hurt to try new things, and this camp has some curveballs you won’t see coming.”Register Online Today!
