The farms in my community in the Brong-Ahafo Region:
Kids in Ghana take on a lot of responsibility from a very early age. By the time they can walk they start helping around the house. They are expected to help take care of their younger siblings and help with chores such as washing dishes, sweeping, and fetching water. In my home, stay family during training, my 4 year-old sister would fan the coal pot fire and help sweep the compound, all while reciting multiplications from memory.
