The Center For The Arts Presents From The Center: Ruckrich Duo
September 11, 2020 @ 7pm
A Live Broadcast Event

Ruckrich Duo
The Ruckrich Duo is a collaboration of 15-year-old multi instrumentalist Django Ruckrich and his song-writing dad Phil. They began performing 11 years ago when Phil took his 4-year-old lead guitarist son to delight audiences at the Nevada City summer nights street fair. This musical relationship has grown from Django being the youngest performer on the youth stage at MerleFest to performances as the Ruckrich Family Band at regional festivals and events, on KVMR, at farmer’s markets, and busking throughout Spain and France.
Django has been pulled up on stage by Joe Craven, Chris Luquette and Frank Solivan, as well as local musicians for his abilities on guitar, fiddle, and mandolin. Last fall, Django and Phil went into the recording studio at the urging of musician and producer Joe Craven to record their first EP of original songs. You can hear bluegrass, world music, rock, blues, and jazz influence in their original music. Django played 5 instruments on these tracks adding piano and bass to his stringed instrument repertoire.
Here is a clip from our recent show at the Besemer concert hall with Joe Craven on percussion.

Special Guest: Joe Craven!
You might recognize Joe Craven from WorldFest. Joe is not just an entertaining musician with a penchant for the mischievous, he is a teacher and student all at once and he will draw you into his performance by including you as though you’re part of the show itself. His gift of gab is unprecedented and his musical knowledge impressive. Joe’s openness and expression of gratitude for the gifts he’s acquired make it all the more fun for him to share them with his audience.
