“Paint Like the Masters”  With Denise Wey

“Budding young artists paint in acrylics on canvas, recreating their own versions of the works of great masters such as Van Gogh, Monet & Picasso! Professional teaching-artist Denise Wey will provide the guided instruction.

“The Magic of Watercolor” With Kyra Kelley

A step-by-step class covering the basics of watercolor as well as additional, more advanced techniques. We will begin with studies of materials, color, washes, glazing, planning & drawing, brush techniques, masking fluid and composition. An explanation of the Principles and Elements of design will be covered – and included in our works of Art! Bring your imagination and 3 ideas or inspirational photos for 3 subjects! Let the Magic Begin!

“Altered Book Art Journals, Album Covers and Mixed Media Collage on Canvas” With Nancy Schaefer

Each week of this fun Collage Mixed Media camp will have entirely different projects, so students who wish to repeat are encouraged. Using Miss Nancy’s extensive collection of vintage magazines, picture books and unique ephemera from around the world, students will collage and paint to create repurposed book art journals, and explore blackout poetry as a means of self expression and healing. For the grand finale, depending on the week, students will design and create their own album cover art or personal mixed media collage on canvas! All skill levels are welcome.

“Painting and Mixed Media Adventures” With Valerie Stuart

Our young artists will create a number of artworks while experimenting with the use of mixed media which combines many materials such as paint, collage, charcoal, chalk pastel, printing, found objects etc. In addition, each child will create an altered book art journal, where they can explore and express themselves. This fun camp is open to all levels.
