Theater For The Very Young ~ 4-5yrs ~ Tuesdays ~ 2:15-3:15 

 
Imaginative Play: Children learn and develop through play. Inspired by children’s picture books, your child’s imagination and confidence will grow as we make-believe through movement, music and more! Last day includes a Family & Friends Showcase. Students have the choice to participate in (or watch) some of our fun discoveries.  
 
• 8 Classes: April 11, 25 / May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 / June 6 
• Child must be 4yrs. by March 11, 2023. 
• A water bottle is recommended. 
• Clothing must be easy to move in.
• Shoes must be closed-toe & stay on securely. 
• No flip-flops or boots; Rubber soles preferred. 
• Family & Friends Showcase / June 6 / 3:35  
• 10 participants 
• Complete required paperwork by April 4, 2023 to secure child’s spot. 
 
 
Theater For The Young ~ 6-7yrs. ~ Tuesdays ~ 3:00-4:00 
 
Creative Dramatics: Children’s books inspire our dramatic adventures! Your child will have fun exploring movement and character, playing theatre games and acting out scenes. Last day includes a Family & Friends Showcase, highlighting our explorations. 
 
• 8 Classes: April 11, 25 / May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 / June 6
• Child must be 6yrs. by March 11, 2023

This consent & release form must be completed by April 11th 2023. Failure to complete the form may result in a child’s spot being forfeited to the wait list. 

 
About the Instructor 
 
Paulette Gilbert has worked with children for nearly 30 years as a teacher, actor and director. She holds a BA in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Theatre from Louisiana Tech University. Her extensive experience with professional companies across the country includes a national tour with the Missoula Children’s Theatre. For the past 15 years she has taught and produced theatre for young people in Nevada County. She directed seven Children’s Theater Ensemble productions for Center Stage Dance Studio, performed at the North Star House. She is the Director of CFTA’s newly formed MainStage Playmakers Youth Program which proudly performed The Emperor’s New Clothes in August and most recently “Twas The Night Before Christmas! Paulette is a professional Costume Designer, primarily for the B Street Theatre in Sacramento and locally for Sierra Stages.
