MONDAYS
Calling all young artists! 🎨 This beginner drawing class for pre-teens helps students level up their skills while having fun. We’ll explore drawing tools, master shading and perspective, and spark creativity through collaborative projects. Every student is encouraged to grow at their own pace while working toward personal artistic goals.
THURSDAYS
Calling all teen artists! ✏️🎨 In this dynamic 8-week drawing class, students will dive into manga and figure drawing, master 3D shading with graphite and charcoal, and bring their work to life with color. Led by an experienced teaching artist, this class is all about building skills, confidence, and creative style.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Sarah Whooley was born into the arts, growing up in Nevada County in a family of professional musicians and performers. She is a painter and pastel artist whose work is often exhibited and sold locally. Sarah has been an active member of our local art scene for many years, facilitating drawing groups that meet weekly. She teaches in various mediums to all ages and offers privates classes. Her gentle kindness and supportive enthusiasm helps learning take root for aspiring artists of all ages!
