Marni Marshall received her B.A. in Studio Art (Art Education emphasis) with a minor in dance from Sacramento State (2006).  It was here that she performed and worked in Faculty and student dance shows, choreographed for fellow student art and drama projects, and was an intern for the American College Dance Festival.  Marni also earned her single-subject teaching credential in Art after a two-year internship with Yuba City High School and Project Pipeline (2009). After high school, where she took ballet in Stockton with Dorothy Percival, Marni’s love for dance was broadened by Lovie Bucknell’s Sierra College Modern Dance class in 1998. The Glass Bead Players, and many local Nevada County teachers have also influenced her interests in dance.  Marni is fortunate to have taken summer workshops from the Joe Goode Performance Group, Anna Halprin, Stacy Printz and Scott Wells. Marni is a co-founder of The Movement Alliance Dance Theatre Company, and has also performed and trained with Air Aligned Aerial Dance Group since 2002.
