In an effort to conserve paper, tickets purchased online or by phone will be on the ‘Will Call’ list at the door. You will receive a hand stamp or wrist band for show entry. Paper tickets will only be printed upon request.
You can buy tickets to all our shows online, 24 hours a day! Select your own seats (if applicable), buy from the comfort of you own home, and never worry about the box office being closed again!
Thank you for your continued support of The Center and our programming. As of January 6, 2014 The Center will be adding a $2 facility fee to each ticket purchased. These funds will be put into a restricted account to maintain, preserve and upgrade our 21,000 square foot facility.
On average about 85% of the income from ticket sales from a specific show goes into the cost of the event including artist fees, production costs and marketing. In essence we need to come close to selling out a show in order to see a profit from that event. Overall our general expenses including staff wages, insurance, utilities, mortgage and building maintenance are derived 60% from ticket sales and rentals and 40% from contributions, including membership, sponsorship, special events and general donations.
In 2013, plans were put into place to start an endowment and planned giving funds to ensure the future of our building and our programs. However, these programs are not yet generously funded, and The Center operates on a cash flow basis without any significant reserves for the inevitable rainy day situations. Maintaining our facility for patron and artist safety and comfort is a top priority, but we need operating funds to make this happen. As building codes change, our facility has to be upgraded for accessibility, fire safety and other needs.
A facility fee for a Performing Arts Center (PAC) is a common practice in our industry. After researching the options, it was found that PACs charge between $2 and $5 per ticket for facility fees. We opted for $2 per ticket, and we opted to make this fee transparent instead of building it into the ticket price. We work hard to bring you a quality performance at a fair ticket price. It is our hope that the programming we provide brings great joy and benefit to our community, and you understand that this additional fee will be used exclusively to maintain the facility we affectionately call The Center.

Individual tickets may be purchased in a variety of ways:
- In person – During Box Office hours Monday-Saturday 12-5
- Phone-in orders – Purchase your tickets via 530-274-8384 ex 14
- Online purchases – Individual tickets at www.thecenterforthearts.org
- Outlet purchases – Most tickets are available at Briar Patch Co-Op
- At the door at events
All tickets must be paid for at time of purchase
If tickets are purchased via phone or online in advance of the event, the tickets will be held for you at Will Call. Tickets at Will Call are available during the Box Office hours, or available for pick-up at the venue an hour before the event.
Refunds & Cancellations
All ticket purchases are final. There are no refunds or exchanges.
If a performance is canceled due to weather conditions or other extraordinary circumstances, the website will be updated and the media will be notified and patrons will be notified by box office staff. Patrons can also call 530-274-8384 to check if a performance has been canceled.
If a concert is canceled for any reason, we will either reschedule the event, accommodate you at another event, or give you a receipt for a tax-deductible donation. Thank you for understanding that if an event is canceled, all expenses have still been incurred.
For Reserved Seating Events: All Seats at time of sale are final. No Exchanges on Seats. Tickets can not be exchanged for another time or another event.
Ticket Donations/Unused Tickets: Unused tickets may be donated to The Center For The Arts for a tax-deductible contribution up to one week prior to the performance. Unused tickets that are returned the night of or after the event are not eligible for a tax-deductible contribution. To receive a tax deductible receipt, please call the box office at 530-274-8384 ex 14.
Lost/ Stolen tickets: Lost or Stolen tickets are the responsibility of the purchaser. Only tickets purchased online or over the phone may be replaced.
Free youth tickets: are only available for certain events. All patrons must have a ticket to enter the auditorium. Please get your free child ticket at the box office prior to the event. Only infants are allowed to sit on parents/guardians laps.
Member Guest Passes: are only available for “Center for the Arts presents” events at The Center for the Arts, not off-site shows (example: not redeemable at the Vets Hall) Only 10 allotted guest passes are available per performances. Each guest pass is valued at $20; should the ticket price be more, the difference must be paid. Patron must contact the Box Office at least 24 hours before the event to request use of a Guest Pass. Guest Passes will not be accepted the night of an event.
Concert Policies and Guidelines:
Doors open at least an hour prior the the start time. Subject to change by the artist.
Latecomers: are asked to wait to enter the auditorium until the ushers allow them access. At that time, we ask late comers to sit in the back or off to the sides between numbers or until an appropriate break in the performance or until intermission.
This is a non-smoking venue.
Outside alcohol is not permitted inside the venue.
Photography: there is no photography permitted during an event unless pre-authorized.
Audio/Video Cameras, videotaping and live audio recordings are not permitted-unless pre-authorized.
We do not allow audience members backstage unless authorized by the artist.
Shoes and appropriate attire must be worn at all performances.
Program Changes: Repertoire or artists are subject to change with minimum notice. Changes will be posted immediately once confirmed
No refunds or exchanges. You assume all risk and danger incidental to the game, exhibition, event, or performance whether occurring prior to, during, or after said show. You assume all risk and danger of injury and you agree that the management, its agents, and the performers are not responsible or liable for any injuries resulting from such causes. No alcohol, drugs, weapons, food, or glass containers allowed. No recording devices, still cameras, or video cameras permitted. No transmission or aiding in transmitting any description, account, picture, or reproduction of the event, game, performance, or exhibition. You hereby consent to the reasonable search for alcoholic beverages, drugs, or weapons. You further consent to the use of your image or likeness incidental to any display, transmission, or reproduction of the event. Management reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person whose conduct is deemed by management to be disorderly or who fails to comply with the terms and conditions herein. In the event of a cancellation for which there is no rescheduled date, a refund for this ticket may be issued at the option of the management and may not include additional ticketing fees (i.e., ticketing operations fee, shipping fees, etc.).
