November Non-Profit Partner – The Friendship Club

The Friendship Club engages, educates, and empowers girls at risk.

Since launching a pilot program in 1995, The Friendship Club has grown to be a year round program providing after school meetings, monthly educational and enrichment field trips, and a full summer program

Group and one on one mentoring round out the programs offered to the girls and the leadership council has provided additional opportunities for personal growth and community service.

As girls approach high school graduation each one works to develop a plan for after high school through our college knowledge program. Well over 80% of Girls who graduate with the club go on to college, a life changing accomplishment considering some are  the first in their families to graduate from high school.

What The Friendship Club gives to girls will carry through generations. The program is not a quick fix. It teaches them real-life skills that will help them become contributing members of their community. – Susie Bavo, The
Friendship Club Past Board President
