The Center for the Arts presents the Nevada County premiere of the vibrant musical revue, The World Goes 'Round, showcasing the songs of the incomparable John Kander and Fred Ebb. Kander & Ebb are the creative geniuses behind such songs as New York New York, Cabaret, and All That Jazz. The World Goes 'Round takes you on journey of familiar (and unfamiliar) songs from the hit musicals Cabaret and Chicago, the films New York New York and Funny Lady, and many other Broadway shows, such as Zorba, 70 Girls 70, The Happy Time, and Kiss of the Spider Woman.

The World Goes Round premiered in New York in 1991 and ran for 408 performances. The New York run was followed by a successful national tour and many regional and community theater productions. The show received numerous awards, including the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Musical, and Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Musical Revue, Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical, and Outstanding Director of a Musical.
