Learn about Grass Valley Schools’ Measure D. Come for a brief presentations by local speakers including Brian Martinez from the Grass Valley School District followed by performances by Grass Valley students.
The GVSD Board unanimously voted to place a school facilities bond, Measure D, on the June 5, 2018 ballot. When this measure is passed, we will have funds to improve our Grass Valley School campuses that include: Lyman Gilmore, Bell Hill Academy, Scotten and Grass Valley Charter. No funds are used for salaries or pensions, and the measure mandates a citizens oversight committee.
All schools in the Grass Valley School District will be positively impacted with the following improvements: Repairs to leaking roofs; updated classrooms and furniture; replacement of underground utilities; and modernization of telecom systems.
California does not provide schools with unmatched funds for most construction costs, so our elementary and middle schools need our support to make much needed repairs. Your YES vote on Measure D will ensure a safe, clean, and dry learning environment for our children and their teachers, for decades to come.
