The show is select current and former Sierra College Art Department student workers. They are all art majors most emphasizing in painting.




Cheryl May: painting and drawing student in her last semester at Sierra College. Her work is primarily drawing and painting. Her subject matter carries but is often figurative.








Alyssa Yantsevich: is a recent Graduate of UC Davis with a studio art degree. Blending abstract and figurative traditions Alyssa creates large compositions with a muted color palette.










Janelle Marcioni: is a Sierra College student studying art and history. Her paintings and drawings are realist representations of nature and the everyday.











Isaac Cook: former Sierra College student who studied photography now living and studying in Oregon. Focusing on portraiture blends surrealism and intimacy.









Jillian Downs: is a former Sierra College student now studying studio art at UCLA. Jillians work paintings are large and abstract with a broad and striking color palette.









Candace Thatcher: current Sierra College student studying studio arts. Candace creates massive painting with dramatic geometric forms. A stark color palette and dynamic lines create movement and rhythm across her compositions.
