Four Art-Filled Weeks!

A Fine Arts Immersion Experience!
Students enjoy exploration in a variety of art mediums
with quality instruction by Denise Wey and Sharon Griffith.

Each session will cover instruction in painting, drawing, sculpting, paper mache and more. Each week culminates in a gallery show of the camper's artwork.
Week 1: Lions, Tigers & Bears
Drawing, painting and sculpting the animal kingdom.
Week 2: Life Aquatic
Art inspired by the open seas. (Painting, drawing, paper-mache)
Week 3: Landscapes
Use watercolor, acrylic, pastel & pencil to capture the natural world.
Week 4: Green Art
Create real art with recycled materials & found objects. (Painting & drawing)
Bonus lunchtime activities including Wendy Van Wagner, owner of In the Kitchen cooking school will present a lesson on eating healthy food with flavor and flair! Each Monday at lunch she will present a short lesson on preparing summer salads that are both tasty, healthy and visually stunning. Your child with be able to integrate art into eating!

Denise Wey is a working artist who has been teaching painting, drawing and ceramics for over 20 years privately and at the Mud Hut at As If, Forest Charter School and various other schools in Nevada County.

Sharon Griffiths been teaching art in Nevada County for over 20 years, in Nevada County Schools, The Imaginarium and in her After School and Summer Art Programs. She is currently teaching at ASIF Studios in Grass Valley to both children and adults. This is her 5th year teaching the Arts Academy classes for the Center of the Arts.
$200 per week includes supplies
